Our van is equipped with key cutting equipment and a wide range of common household and commercial key blanks (Not Vehicle). So we can supply extra keys for the home or office on the spot if we are already in attendance at your property (if not a standard labour fee plus keys cut will be charged)

If you are moving home and looking to have the locks changed 1st Glass and Locks have a package designed specifically for you.
According to a surveys previous home owners have passed out so many spare keys to relatives, neighbours, tenants, estate agents and tradesmen doing regular work on there homes over the years. Not all of those keys are ever accounted for.
We recommend performing a full lock change on all external doors, and also not forgetting the garage door. This may sound expensive but our home mover package has been tailored to ensure we can offer you a discount because of the multiple lock changes required. You may find that the existing locks require upgrading for insurance purposes in that case we can do that as well.
The lock changes can be organized to be performed on the day you move in to give you peace of mind immediately.

Free Security Surveys
We are happy to visit you free of charge to conduct a security survey. Many home insurance policies require 5 lever mortice locks to BS3621 to be fitted on external doors. A great many homeowners are unwittingly in breach of their insurance conditions by having inappropriate locks. I can quickly establish whether the existing locks conform to insurance provisions and offer advice on other security measures that should be considered.
